Citrawarna Malaysia or the Colours of Malaysia is a series of cultural and arts presentations over a period of one month in a festive, fun and exciting atmosphere. The Colours of Malaysia is an annual event co-organise by Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Malaysia to boost tourism industry and tourist arrival in the nation. Tourism is Malaysia's second largest foreign exchange after the manufacturing sector.
The event is the largest and glitteriest cultural show in Asia and second only to Brazilian carnival. Visitors can see the cultural richness of various races through their enchanting arts, music, fashion, food and crafts at throughout the country. Various activities have been lined up at the national and state level for the whole month to give visitors a chance to experience and enjoy the uniqueness of Malaysian culture. Come and see the kaleidoscopic Colours of Malaysia 2004!

Specially designed to replace the old and boring Fascinating Malaysia campaign, Malaysia Truly Asia is Malaysia's newest global tourism marketing campaign to attract foreign visitors to Malaysia. It is the best and most successful campaign to date. As the result, Malaysia is the third most visited country in Asia after China and Hong Kong, surpassed Thailand as South East Asia top destination and among in the top 20 most visited country in the world. This song has been translated into 40 different languages and the English version of Malaysia Truly Asia was performed by the popular evergreen singer Khatijah Ibrahim while the Malay version of this song by Indonesia top singer Kris Diyanti.
Anyway to our American friends or fellow Malaysians in the states, you can catch Khatijah Ibrahim and Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Truly Asia North America Promotional Campaign (some soft of concert), in Connecticut, USA on 19 June 2004. “Cuti-cuti Malaysia” or “Holiday in Malaysia” is a national campaign launched in 1999 by Ministry of Tourism (formerly known as Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism) and Tourism Malaysia to boost and encourage domestic travel and holiday among Malaysian. Beside that, the campaign was specially designed to help Malaysian economy deeply suffered by Asian economic crisis during that time. This song (and the campaign), sang by Malaysia's sweetheart and no. 1 singer, Siti Nurhaliza, is very popular among many Malaysians. :-D
Together with the successful Malaysia Truly Asia campaign, this brilliant idea came from the best Tourism Minister Malaysia ever had, Dato’ Paduka Abdul Kadir Bin Haji Sheikh Fadzir, now the Information Minister.
